Stump Removal and Grinding

What We Do

Stumps are hard to deal with across the board. The first decision that you are going to have to make is whether to keep the stump or remove it. There are a couple of things that you should consider before making that decision. Any decision that you make can have an impact not only on the overall look that your property is going to have, it can also impact the surrounding areas. If you have a stump near concrete structures there may be a reason why the people who removed the tree left the stump in the first place. Maybe the roots are stuck underneath the concrete!

Impact of Removal Services

Since we just finished talking about the impact that removing a stump could have we wanted to take the chance to stay in that train of thought. Our removal services contemplate all of the different scenarios that you may not have thought about. We need to know if taking out the roots is going to affect the surrounding area. 9 times out of 10 the hole that we are going to have to dig up to be able to remove a stump is going to be considerably larger than the stump itself.

Why Would I Want To Keep A Stump Around?

This is a very fair question that we get at times. To be honest we couldn’t really give you a straight answer because ultimately if you don’t like the way that a stump looks regardless of the way that we may be able to grind it, then what we may say really makes no sense. That being said, a lot of people like that these stumps can sometimes be shaped into tables or places to sit. Those are just some of the options that are out there for people with a stump in their yard!

Will It Grow Back Into A Full Tree?

There are some exceptions to the rule. For the most part, though stumps don’t grow back. Now, if the roots are still alive and active and it happens to be a very specific type of tree this can happen. What we recommend is that you give us a chance to take a look at it and see what kind of activity the stump is having. Just keeping a stump around with the hope that it will someday grow back into a full tree is probably going to be quite disappointing!

Accurate Stump Grinding

For the most part, we like to keep the grinding directly on the stump. The reason that we clarify this, is that we have seen that a lot of people like to dig around the stump to try and grind it. This usually takes a huge toll on the area around the stump. So as you can imagine if you had a stump in the middle of your lawn, what you are going to be left with is a beat-up lawn and half a stump. We have results that back our work up that is all we can really say!
